Houghton Area Senior Citizens

The Houghton Area Seniors from northern Allegany County meet monthly on the second Thursday for fellowship, food, and an interesting program—sometimes music, sometimes a travelogue, sometimes local color, sometimes valuable information—always interesting. Again this year The Black-Eyed Susan of Angelica NY will be catering some of our meals. This year we have scheduled three of these. They will be Thanksgiving in November, Valentine’s Day or thereabouts in February, and a third catered meal for the May meeting. Spread the word about all of these luncheons and bring your friends. The dietitians, security personnel, and arrangers are:

  • Fred Shannon, Fearful Leader (585-567-2753)
  • Ellis Brotzman, Secretary of the Treasury
  • Robert Danner, Program Chairperson and Arranger
  • Alfreda Kreckman, Secretary of the Interior
  • Ken and Karen Gaerte, Team Coaches
  • Others as needed from time-to-time including volunteers.

New members age 55+ always welcome ~ caregivers, also, regardless of age.
