Volunteer Appreciation Week April 20-27
Volunteers - "the debt we owe them is as great as the sum of the ages." They
touch our lives and the lives of our children and youth. They work for love: the
love of sharing God’s Word and love with others. We want them to know how much
we appreciate them and all that they do for God and His kingdom. We invite you
to creatively express your appreciation to our volunteers during this week.
Expressing appreciation can take many forms, such as a note to a volunteer, a
word of appreciation, a flower or plant, a plate of cookies or muffins, or any
number of other ways. Thank you for your involvement in this appreciation week
and for your prayers for our volunteers. Thank you!
“We always thank God for all of you,
mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before our God and
Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your
endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ”
(1 Thessalonians 1:2-3).
April is Volunteer Appreciation month, so
once again we want to let you know in no uncertain terms:
WE APPRECIATE YOU! We hope each and every one of you who serves
as a volunteer in our ministries here at Houghton Wesleyan knows how grateful we
are for you and for your contributions to the ministry of the church. None of
our ministries would be possible without the sacrificial time, effort, and gifts
you give to the Lord and His Kingdom.
I want to thank ALL of our volunteers, but I
want to highlight for you two specific groups: those who help coordinate College
Ministries, and those who help coordinate Small Groups. If you see any of these
volunteers, be sure to thank them for giving to the Lord.
