Sew Much Comfort is a nationally recognized non-profit organization providing adaptive clothing for wounded service men and women at all major military hospitals in the US and abroad. I am seeking donations of fabric that would be suitable for pants or shorts (denim, twill, flannel, fleece, sweatshirt knit, in neutral or dark colors) that I can sew into donated garments, so a recovering soldier can have 'normal' clothing to wear during the sometimes-lengthy rehab. process. Please contact the church office (567-2264) or Sally Johnson for further info. Donations can be dropped off at the church office.

NORTHERN ALLEGANY NEIGHBORHOOD NETWORK
is trying to match unmet needs for Seniors with community resources. Although a lot is already being done, there are still opportunities to help those who have given so much to our Seniors: 1. Reading for pleasure, reading mail and writing letters;2. Help with checkbook reconciliation or insurance forms; 3. Yard work/ snow shoveling;4. Transportation for social visits to a friend or relative or to hair appointments or pet care appointments; 5. House cleaning and grocery shopping 6. Larger projects like painting, roof work, cement work, heavy cleaning (garage, shed or basement) Some of the above are jobs that seniors are willing and able to either pay for or to make a contribution.) If you know of a Senior who has a need, or you would like to volunteer to participate in the Neighborhood Network, please call 567-2800 for more information and to offer or receive help.
