One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray…” Luke 11:1, NIV

The ministry of prayer is an integral element of our life as a community of believers. We desire more from God and with God than mediocrity because we believe that we were created for intimacy with God. God desires for us live close to Him, loving Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength, and loving others as we love ourselves. We believe that God wants to transform our lives, from mundane, religion-oriented people to vibrant, Christ-oriented people. We believe that God desires us to live in the unity of Jesus Christ and of the Holy Spirit. We believe that God wants to do something in each of us and in this church, and our communities that is greater, deeper, higher, wider than anything we have ever dreamed in our most creative moments. We also believe that the most important thing we can do to prepare ourselves—individually and corporately—for this transformational work of God, is to pray: to pray seriously, joyfully, lovingly, passionately, wholeheartedly. It’s for these reasons that we offer many opportunities for you to engage in prayer—individually and corporately.

Prayer groups meet in different places and at different times during the week. A group meets for prayer on Wednesday evening (6:30) for the specific purpose of prayer.
Because the need for prayer arises between times when we are gathered together, our prayer chains help us communicate concerns for prayer in unusual or emergent situations. If you are interested in being a part of a prayer chain—either by phone or email—please click here and put “email prayer chain” or “phone prayer chain” in the subject line.
Prayer Room & EventsThrough the influence of the 24/7 prayer movement, we have begun hosting prayer events that have revolutionized our prayer lives and our journeys with Christ. The rhythm of our congregational life now involves hosting a 3-week, 24/7 prayer event the first three weeks of November. We also host shorter (48-hour) prayer events for specific purposes throughout the year. Our prayer room is very interactive and is available even when we are not engaged in a specific prayer event.
We have a website dedicated to the Prayer Room and associated prayer events where you can get specific information and also schedule time in the prayer room.
We are very excited about all that God is doing among us through prayer. We invite you to join us in this amazing journey of learning and experiencing intimacy with God and with each other.
